Hume Health isn’t trying to be a fitness tracker in the traditional sense. It doesn’t want to count your steps and remind you to stand up every hour. The brand’s positioning is quite specifically about longevity — understanding how your daily habits are affecting how fast or slow your body is aging, and giving you data you can actually act on.

The core product is the Hume Body Pod, a smart body composition scanner that uses bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) to measure how fat, muscle, water, and tissue are distributed across your body. Unlike most smart scales that only read from your feet, the Pod has both a floor platform and a handheld component — so it scans your torso, arms, and legs separately, which is a meaningful hardware difference for accuracy.

The Hume Band is the wearable side of the ecosystem. It sits on your wrist 24/7 and tracks sleep stages, heart rate variability (HRV), blood oxygen, skin temperature, and respiratory rate. The Band doesn’t have a screen — all data feeds into the Hume app. Think less Apple Watch, more WHOOP.

The app ties everything together. It takes the static snapshots from the Pod and the continuous data from the Band and turns them into trend lines, weekly reports, and something Hume calls “Metabolic Momentum” — a proprietary metric that’s meant to show whether your habits are building or eroding your long-term health.
